Default XNA setup trouble

this is the link to the site im using
http://creators.xna.com/Education/newtoxna.aspx

my problem is step 2. the download for updating vs downloads... then i click the icon to start the setup, it takes forever for it to load, in fact, it says "VS is configuring window... blah blahblah... for more than 10 minutes. my computer shouldnt be "that" slow, so i stop the download, and the download used so much resources that it takes 10 to 12 seconds for something to be clicked... i looked at the download name and in the file name it says x86 in it. i think thats my problem. i do not have a x86 computer, im on a 32 bit system. anyone know where i can download software for a x32 machine?

I'm not sure why the problem is occurring but x86 does mean for 32 bit, the 86 refers to the architecture not the instruction size. The nomenclature has changed now though, x64 does mean 64 bit. I suggest you let the install run its course, often these things take an inordinately long time.
