Default Beginning Visual C# Programming

There doesn't appear to be a section for this book. I've got a programming background, but never did anything with it. Was just going to see if I could get an explanation of their explanation on variables from pg. 30. I understand how variables work, but found that explanation to be a little bit confusing.
