Beginning Visual C# 2012, page 799 (13-2)

I have hard time understanding the line (about 18th from the top of page 799):

fourOfAKind            if (cardsOfRank ==3)

fourOfAKind is a boolean type variable and to me this code makes no sense at all.

Is this your first time coding? I picked up this book a few weeks ago. Am on Chapter 4, the further I get, the more I go back and re-learn. Did you go through this as well?

No, not the first time. I just don't get that part I quoted at all. If you understood it, could you please tell me what does that actually mean.

edit. And yes, I'm actually reading the book for the third time (ok, the first two times were 2008 and 2010 versions, but still).
