i would like to know what enviornment is the best cause i can get any software i would like through my fathers job and id like to get a professional enviornment so please feel free to tell me what you think the is the best. i hear visual studio .net. currently i use borland dev. but i need to expand ;)

Visual Studio is good in my opinion. You could also try Borland by itself because it has alot of nice options.
