Default What are "records"?

Hello, I'm fairly new to C++, and I'll soon be taking a computer science course. The instructor informed me that I needed to know a number of topics, which were very basic things that I have down, with the addition of what he called "records." Can anyone explain to me the meaning of "records" in C++? Thanks.
