I am a web developer in Canada. I had been working as a C++ programmer to implement a contour graphic platform for 2-3 year in oil company of China. I wonder how to become a good C++ programmer. I would like to hear any suggestions from you if you are a C++ programmer in North America company, especially in Oil company. I would like to take some courses first, but I don't know where I should start, Computer Graphics, OpenGL, Direct X or some courses else. I don't want to work for game company, since I don't like to paly game.
