Default right click on a menu item

I am trying to implement a menu item which can be right clicked on to bring up a pop up menu with operations that can be performed on that item, similar to how you can right click on an item in the IE favorites menu to rename, delete, etc. Does anyone know how to implement this feature?

It depends on your program I would assume that you are planning on using the Win32 API correct? If so you can use the API features to apply this effect let me know about your plans and I can guide you from there

To be specific, I built the program using the MFC App Wizard. It is dialog based. I have been trying to do this using OnNcHitTest and MenuItemFromPoint. Thanks for your help

If its a problem with MFC, can anyone tell me how to do it with the Win32 API and I'll see about translating that myself.
