Default Collect signal to SQL

Hi all,

There are several machine which have a signal output. I want to code something to monitor/record it, how should I do?
1. What hardware need use to connect machine with pc, if possible I prefer Bluetooth/wifi/lan
2. Use what kind of language is better
3. How to determinate machine1, machine2,,etc
4. How to save data into database ( sometimes machine might generate signal at the same time)

Thanks,
