Hi, haw do I convert date that comes in the text form (like txtFromDate) to an actual numeric date. I need to do this in order to pull date out of sql where it's written in 08/11/2004 format.
If the date is in the correct format for the current locale of the computer you can use DateTime.Parse (you can also use DateTime.ParseExact if you need more control). The Parse methods also allow you to specify a format if the date is not in the correct for the locale of the computer.
