Default Cannot make ‘databound’ date textbox null / blank?

Hi,

I have a problem like this: I have created a data entry form for the PROJECTS table. It connects to an Oracle database.

I use the ‘Oracle Client’ to connect and the ‘Oracle DataAdapter’ also.

The problem is the ‘Date’ and ‘Numeric’ textboxes cannot be made null/blank.

For numeric textboxes you can enter 0. This can be somewhat tolerated.

But if you make a date textbox blank and leave the textbox the old value comes back again into the textbox.
Why is this?

How can I solve this problem?

Thanks & Regards,
DLSC
