Default Which data type should I use?

Hi,

I am working with C#/V.Studio 2005. I am trying to create an application that takes a list of domain names and monitor it.

I have a few questions:
1. How can I create a custom data grid that will be able to:
   a. Display around 20 empty rows on 50% of the windows space
before I bind it to a data source.
   b. Will by dynamic to include per line context menus
   c. Will display alternate row colors.
I have attached a screenshot of what I have in mind in order to give you an idea of what I am looking for:

Could you please take a look and advice on what would the best approach to meet the requirements specified above?

Happy new year,
Joe
