I am using Oracle 9i as a backend for the first time, I dont know how to make the connection and how to pass the query string to enter into the database from the text boxes.
Please send me whole code how to enter the values into database using Oracle connection string.

Hi Lily, lest's see how far we get with this.

first you must declare oracle namespace with...:

using System.Data.OracleClient;

create the connection string in order to create the connection:

private const string ConnectionString = "DataSource=MyOracleDB; Integrated Security=yes;";

now create the oracle connection:

OracleConnection MyConnection = new OracleConnection(ConnectionString);

from this you can pass your textboxes' data to variables that are then passed as part of a sort of SQL SELECT statement, I think (not very familiar with oracle) and insert data to your DB with a dataAdapter.
