Default what is the difference between visual c++....

Can anyone please tell me is the major difference between visual c++ and c#.NET as both of them are used to develop GUI applications.

One major difference is that if you are a beginner you might want to start with C#. C++ is a complicated language, yet more powerful. C# is easier on the mind and easier to start learning.
