DMI explorer code

hello, hope this is not offtopic.

I want to make a C# DMI explorer pretty much like the one shiped with NERO but I want mine to run as an hidden agent in desktops so I can control the hardware and software installed in each machine (in my LAN) from a remote computer.

Do you have any ideia about the library to use with this? Or any article explaning the DMI and MIF formats? just a link will suffice
