With my experience working with aspSmartUpload is that if you receive Unable to save file (Error 1120) it generally means it could be 2 problems

1. Permissions ( you seem to have them sorted)
2. Directory path is not set correctly for saving your files.

eg if your running locally you may be running off one virtual directory and the code for saving the would be
intCount = mySmartUpload.Save("/myVirtualDirectory/uploads")

however moving onto a webserver it could be stand alone. and would change to
intCount = mySmartUpload.Save("/uploads")

Do you know what i mean????

The best way to test is just throw a asp page in the upload folder and check the virtual path is correct.

<%
VirtualPath = Request.ServerVariables("APPL_MD_PATH")
Response.Write(VirtualPath)
%>

What was the problem? How did you finally fix it?

It was just foolishness. I didn’t have direct access to the server. I just gave the instructions to other people. When it wasn’t working, I followed what you said, checking the access and security rights. We were manipulating the root folder, so I thought everything inside will be affected. I didn’t realize that the destination folder didn’t exist.

Thanks Imar! I hope you’ll still attend to my questions in the future.
