Default Sorty by Something, and then Sort by something els

I have a database that has many recordsets in it. I need to sort by one colemn and then by another. How do i do that?

Are you looking for an SQL statement to do that? If so then use

Select * from somethingtable order by something asc, somethingelse desc,....

Desc - descending order
Asc - Ascending order (this is by default, so don't have to specify even.)

Hello gmoney60,

You can write the query as below.

SELECT <field_list> FROM <table> WHERE <condition> ORDER BY <sort field 1> [ASC | DESC], <sort field 2> [ASC | DESC]

<condition may be absent in which case you have to omit the Where part.

As an example

SELECT UserName FROM tblUsers WHERE UserStatus='0' ORDER BY DateOfBirth ASC, FirstName ASC
