Hi there...

I need to build a form that includes a file name (and location), that is, there will be some kind of a form control that enables the user to browse and select the location of a file along with its name. That name, eg "c:\test\file01.doc", in text format, will be stored in a database. I don't want to down/up load the file or open/delete it... just the name of the file

Can someone show me the way to do it ?

I was also looking for a way to have a 2nd list box filled after a selection was made on a 1st list box but found here in the forums a good site : http://www.atgconsulting.com/doublelist.asp.

  You can use File control

<form name="frm1" ENCTYPE="multipart/form-data">
<input type="file" name="txtFileName1">
</form>

When you use FILE control, must specify ENCTYPE as mutipart/form-data
