Besides, you need to point www.chatventure.com to the same IP address as the one used by some site at the server. Then that site should have the default page which includes the above piece of script.

"http://212.187.35.210/chatventure/main.htm" & "www.chatventure.com"

Is the IP address & path is same for both to invoke? because link with IP address doesn't works properly
Is it only for example it's show above?

They need not be. They can be also.

But the IP addresses of

www.chatventure.com

and

www.cewebserver.com

(and anything in the list in select case statement) need be same.

Numan,

I am left with no clue on explaining this any better that what was done so far. Also the code is very much simple that it explains what it does.

Can you explain us on what is your requirement and what you are trying to do based on this code?

Gokul, that is called the Public IP. Any host in the internet can be identified with its HOST/DOMAIN NAME or with its Public IP assigned to it.

Hope that explains.
Cheers!

Numan,

Read the last line of my fourth reply from this, that holds the answer to this question.

To explain that in detail you will have to contact a network engineer/system administrator who can explain how this could be done in firewall.

Let me explain that in brief, in a firewall you can assign multiple hostnames to same public IP, which internally can be mapped to same/different real IPs. So to have this work for you, assume that chatventure and cewebserver are both assigned the same public IP that is mapped to same real IP, which hosts just a page called default.asp, that contains this code alone in it. So any request that comes in for chatventure.com or cewebserver.com would be routed to the page that contains this code and thus it is possible. You may still ask how would the ELSE case get executed, if the address requested is other than those 2 mentioned above? That is possible, still, if many other hostnames(like chatventure.com) are assigned to the same public IP, and the user has requested for one of those other than chatventure.com and cewebserver.com

If you need more info on public IP, real IP, mapping them, firewall, etc, etc, then you may want to read books on Firewall/Cisco, in which I have not mastered at all.

Hope that explains.
Cheers!
