Creating an MS-Word like text editor
Good evening.
I would like to create a MS Word-like text editor for my website's content manager. The text editor would be kind of like this one execept that I can have html tags pop up when my users try to boldface something. That will get them very confused.
My text editor needs to work like the ones in hotmail: it "feels" just like word.
Where should I start to create something like this?
thanks for your help!

FCKEditor - very very cool, cheers for the link.
I have a job on where a deliverable is, in addition to the current functionality the 'spell checker', any one seen on with this feature?

For the purposes of anybody looing at this post the link suggested above doesnt lead to a spell checker, a good looking wsiwyg editor though.

The posts read from top to bottom make sense to me, however to explain:
You replied to my enquiry regarding a spell checker (09/30/2004) with a useful link (?TOPIC_ID=18104) that lead to an editor not including a spell check.
My comment:
;;;BTW Whats your thoughts on the 'open source' one used in this forum? Have you had a look at it?
was regarding the spell checker on this forum (which is open source and can be downloaded at forum.snitz.com)
To address specific questions in your last post:
;;;i dont know what r u talking about?
think ive answered that one
;;;is there any section of website which talks about open source?
Which web site? if it's this one, yes the entire site.
Sorry for any confussion
