Default count the TOTAL number of segments

i have values stored inside a asp variable called 'segments':

segments = cdbl(count_trip_id)*cdbl(number_of_passengers)

how do i insert those values into an array, then count the TOTAL number of segments inside that array?

values are normally:

4
4
20
16
8

how can i automatically add up these values?

Picco

Create one global array with some default size.After calculating the segment set that values to that array by looping through it.
Loop through the array till value exists and add those values.If values doesnt exist come out of the loop.
