Default Open popun when message receive
Hi

I'm working on a simple help desk system in asp. What I want is when client or admin sends a private message - an email notification is sent and a pop up informs admin or client they have a message .

I have seen this in a few forums that when user receive a private message a popup appears saying that "you have received a new msg"

How this is done? I'm sure they don't keep on refreshing the page to see if a new message arrived or not.

Any Idea..?????????????

ASP is a server-side language - you generate the javascript code or META refresh tag to refresh the page.
