I am new to ASP so please bear with me. I am using a generic loop to retrieve a result set form an MS Acess database - no problem. What I need to do now is differeniate betweeen the data in the table. for eaxmple one column is called year with data of 2004, 2005 and 2006, is there a way but I now need to take the tabulated table data and transfer it to another ASP based page and covert the results to XML. I can do this with hard coded variables but can't seem to be able to work out how to do it with data from a table. Any help greatly appreciated.

Could you explain the problem a little bit more understandable.

Things I get from your post so.
1. You have a ms acces database
2. you have a asp page that retrieves database data.
3. You want to put data in a xml file.

Things I don't get is what do you mean with the table. Is this a table on your page that is generated in your asp file like this
or are you refering to a table from your database.

Why not just create the xml file based on the query you used to build the table? Its sounds like to me they are both using the same data from the db query only one is html & one is xml.

If thats the case instead of DB-->Table-->XML use Table<--DB-->XML
