No worries, glad you got it working!

FYI, you dont actually MapPath to a sql server, you use the server name or ip address like so:

Provider=SQLOLEDB; Data Source=servernameORaddress; Initial Catalog=DatabaseName; User ID=username; Password=password;

--Stole this from a moderator

I will only tell you how to do it, not do it for you.
Unless, of course, you want to hire me to do work for you.

I am having a very similar problem except I can't get it resolved following the previous posts. Can someone help?

Here is the Code
Set mstream = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Stream")
mstream.Type = 1 'adTypeBinary
mstream.Open
mstream.Write rsDBFile("Document")
mstream.SaveToFile("C:/CoreDownload/" & FileName), 2 'adSaveCreateOverWrite

The error is the same
Write to file failed.

I gave full access rights to the user IUSR and shared the folder but no luck.

On the CoreDownload folder, right click, bring up the properties menu and give 'Everyone' full control to the folder. Can you save the file?

You are amazing. I really did not expect to get an answer. I had given full access to all users on the folder but I did not have an Everyone user. I added that and then gave full access.

It worked perfectly. Thanks so much. You don't even want to know how long I have worked on this problem.

No no no. That is NOT your solution. You never, never, never want to give the 'Everyone' user full rights to a directory that has any connect to a web application or you are opening yourself up for all sorts of maliciaous tasks ><

Try giving Write permissions to the IWAM account as opposed to the IUSR account.
