Is there a way to check if the data taken from a DB is an integer? and not a char?

I thought using isNAN, but it is in Javascript. Is there something similar but just in ASP?

Yes there is the InNumeric([value]) function which returns true or false based on the value you pass in. So:

if isNumeric(databaseValue) then
//do something
end if
