Default syntax error

Hi there

Can anyone tell me what is wrong with the syntax on this statement? I can't seem to find it.

INSERT INTO Profile(EmailPDF) VALUES('" & Replace(Upload.Files(1).ExtractFilename, "'", "''") & "') WHERE ProfileID = " & request.QueryString("id")

Cheers

Adam

Do this:

Response.Write(Replace(Upload.Files(1).ExtractFile name, "'", "''"))

What does that generate?

I suspect that its a stray ' that is causing your problem but can't be sure based on your code.

I will only tell you how to do it, not do it for you.
Unless, of course, you want to hire me to do work for you.

It response.writes the correct file but still comes up with the error - 'incorrect syntax near the keyword WHERE'

Thanks
