how to set ....
session expire, since server is not in my hand, and it has default session expire time as 20 minutes, so when user comes to site and tries to enter some length text which takes around 20 to 30 minutes and when they tries to save it dosent save but lost the data....i used form submission & not passing through querystring.
any idea suggetion so keep session alive for longer time??

The only way I knowis to set it in the properties of the individual web site iside IIS. This has the same result. Why would you not want to use a global.asa? A handy little file IMO

My site dosent have separate virtual folder it is inside the root folder (& it is common for every developers) so global.asa is common for every one...
gmail.com has auto save feature any idea how it works???? if so it could be apply.

Gmail has auto save features.. does this mean it automatically loads up the inbox without asking for username/pwd of the user??
well in this case i guess gmail is using cookies to store its session variables. and passed accordingly.

what he means is when your composing an email, gmail auto saves your type every x seconds to draft.

No. Cookies can only store 4K worth of data so your drafts are not held in a cookie, more they are stored (im guessing) in Googles database. If cookies were the case, that means you could only access the PC on which the cookie resides, however, drafts are accessible from any pc that you can access gmail from.
