dparsons, I tried it the way you suggested but it still doesn't work. I get the following error:

Error Type:
Microsoft VBScript runtime (0x800A01C2)
Wrong number of arguments or invalid property assignment: 'month'
/Series6/mml.asp, line 321

Line 321 is the sql statement. Ive tried variants of what you suggested, like switching around ",',&,() etc... Lots of trial and error, but still no luck. Any other ideas?

This was an error on my part. Month isn't a variable but a string literal so something like this should work:

'" & Request.Form((objrs("class") & "month")) & "';"
