total of items in my basket

Hi, ive created a basket using cookies and the session object where the values of the products are stored in a variable

how do i add the total of the prices of the items in the basket?

Are you storing each item separately in the Session or Cookies objects? If so, you could loop through the collection objects to make a calculation. Otherwise, could you post some code about what you are trying to do?
