Default Server problem?

I am using my PC as my server. I can view and process the ASP docs and exercises in the book, but when I try to view my own ASP docs, I keep coming up with an error message. Yet the docs can be viewed on a friend's server. I have unchecked Show Friendly HTTP Error Messages, so that's not it. This is happening with my index.asp page. My index.htm can be viewed. HELP!!!

Try using Localhost instead of your machine's name. It sounds to me like your machine is unable to resolve its own name. As I remember a quick fix is to edit your hosts file and add an entry for your machine's name.
