vrey clever, good job. i was CONVINCED that my seesions weren't ending either, and i have both my global.asa AND iis set to time out at 1 minuite. but it never executed the event specified in the session_onend. you're little trick helped me trouble shoot, and narrow down my problem area. I tried to read the post you linked to, but I got a hearing problem after a while because of all the shouting, so I never made it to the end of your post.

Anyway, are you using ASP or ASP.NET? You seem to be mixing these two technologies up. That's not possible, so you have to choose one and stick to it for your application....

HEY, i don't know if this guys still needs help, but if he's using asp.net, then my example will work for him, it works for me just fine.
As far as the "shouting", it's unintentional i assure you, i type all my code in caps, and so usually when i start typing a message, i forget to turn the caps off, and i don't notice it, because it doesn't bother me.

as far as the "coming across more grateful", i'm not sure what you mean, but i'm looking right at my comment right now and i see my being VERY greatful:
" if you could kindly check this out --->", and "<--- i'd be greatly apreciative."
how is that ungreateful? if you honestly think that, i believe your expectations are too high.
anyway, i didn't come here to argue, but to help.
