This isn't really an ASP question but I know theres got to be someone here that knows how to do this. I have my production server running win2k and sql server 7. I have a development laptop with the same os/sql. I want to be able to move the live db file from my production box to my laptop so I can work on it at home. Can anyone tell me how this is accomplished? thanks much.

Go to Enterprise manager under SQL server 7.0 and expand the server, to expand the databases. And right click on the Database that you want to move to you laptop, select All tasks, under which you got to choose "Backup database" and proceed to get a .bak backed up file of you database.

Copy this on to your laptop and there, do the same in Enterprise manage, except that you got to choose "Restore database" instead of "Backup database" in the previous case.
