Default linking database to attachments

Hi i am working with a database that contains customer information
and sometimes files and attachments will need to be saved into the
database. I presume i will have to save the attachments somewhere
and then link to them, but i really haven't a clue where to start. Does
anybody have any information about this or even know where i can
look for information!
Thanks in advance!
Treasa

I have a similar sort of thing setup on one of my sites for uploading pictures.

I found the easiest way to do this is to store the path of the file attachments in the database.

Or if you're really clever, you could create a new folder "[Customer ID]" and use ASP to read all the files in that folder using the filesystem object and display them as links.

hi,

Store the path of the file in the database and refer that path when retrieving. To upload files, use some third party components like ASPSmartUpload.
