I had the same questions in my mind. .Net definitely has advanced tech. than ASP but in my view, better be KING IN ONE THAN JACK OF ALL THE TRADES. Though you can always learn and upgrade yourself on .Net and you will see the difference.

I am agreed with Prasad because the technology is changing day by day and it is almost impossible for a person to go throgh all of them. So at this time a person is better who is the master of his feild and has know how of other things as well but master in one thing so that he can compete in the markete

ASP Forever as long as we are working on it. I dont think ASP is going to vanish, ya some ASP projects would be replaced by .Net depending upon the requirements and the structure of the system/project, now say or example .Net has advanced support in many aspects, so you may hire .Net. But as of now, if your project is ok with ASP, there is no reason to migrate to .Net.
