Default Custom Connection String probs

Hi,

I am a newbie and am using Dreamweaver to connect to a database. So far we've got it to work when connecting to an Access database using a DSN connection.

I would now like to use a Custom Connection String to connect to a SQL Server 2000 database.

However it won't work. I keep getting an error stating the "login failed for user myUsername'

Any thgouhts?

This is the connection string I'm using:

Driver={SQL Server};Server=serverName;Database=dbName;Uid=myUs erName;Pwd=myPassword;

Cheers

S

Thanks sinapra,

No, not a dynamic connection string.
Not sure if you're familiar with Dreamweaver or not, but it gives you two choices when connecting to a database:

1. Data Source Name
2. Custom Connection String

This is the connection string I'm using. I've substituted generic names for the real names
Driver={SQL Server};Server=serverName;Database=dbName;Uid=myUs erName;Pwd=myPassword;

Any help much appreciated.

hi
ok, I am very much familiar with dreamweaver, but in that, I never worked on customizing DB connection string, we used D'Weaver as design and place tool for our web pages. Well, I am not really sure about the DSN and Custom Connection String in D'Weaver. I use an include file for the connection string.
