Default Viewing Access snapshots

Hey all,

I have a rather odd question - is there any way to successfully have a CreateObject("Access.Application") call without having Access installed on the computer. For example, can I upload a DLL and/or TLB file in the same directory as the call?

Thanks in advance

IMO, you will have to do a lot of research to get that work, without having it installed. What is the problem in installing that, which might save you a lot of time.

Cheers!

You're absolutely right - that would be by far the easiest; however, I only have access to the database layer via 1433 to SQL Server. This is a migration project and they want to keep their Access reports, but they use an ISP that's just a standard IIS install and have no say over what goes on the box. If you have any suggestions about how to run it w/o installing Access - maybe another library or such, that'd work too ....
