Default Trying to connect to Mysql

I'm running IIS on Win XP Pro, and have had no problems with running ASP/Access driven web pages.

I recently installed mysql 4.22/myodbc, and now I get this error message whenever I try to connect to mysql:

ADODB.Connection (0x800A0E7A) Provider cannot be found. It may not be properly installed

I've searched the web, and I can't find any help!

Thanks

Terry

Thanks, I tired the suggestions and I'm still getting the same error message.

I've reinstalled MyOdbc, and the IIS service, and it's still not working.

Anyone know what the heck this error means?

Thanks

Hi Terry,

Just posting the error wouldn't suggest what you are missing. What is the provider that you are using to connect? Can you post more information on what connection string that you used?

Cheers!

O.k, so I've used a couple different variations for the connection string:

Set objConn = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
    objConn.ConnectionString="DRIVER={MySQL ODBC 3.51 Driver};SERVER=localhost;DATABASE=purchasingVendor Database;USER=;PASSWORD=;OPTION=16834;"
    objConn.Open

And I also tried:

"DRIVER={MySQL ODBC 3.51 Driver};SERVER=localhost;DATABASE=myDatabase;USER= myUsername;PASSWORD=myPassword;OPTION=3;"

And finally, I've tired using the OLE DB connection:

"Provider=MySQLProv;Data Source=mydb;User Id=UserName;Password=asdasd;"

I've reinstalled IIS, mySql, myodbc, and mdac.

Thanks for the help!

T--
