first two characters

How do i limit the amount of characters is taken from this MySQL DB field?

something like:

<%=rsair(left("AirlineName")2)%> ???????/

I only want the first two characters to be displayed.

i was thinking like this as well...

Dim MyString, LeftString
MyString = "VBSCript"
LeftString = Left(MyString, 3) ' LeftString contains "VBS".

You could always just limit the amount to characters returned from the DB if you don't need the whole column elsewhere.
