Default error type

please what could have caused this error below? i this script was working in a particular location and i copied it here and this message was displayed.

Error Type:
Microsoft JET Database Engine (0x80040E09)
Cannot update. Database or object is read-only.
/sitecheck/cms/main/loginFn.asp, line 56
