Dear All,

I need to design a search page where in it retrives the File information from file_master table.I need to select some of the retrieved file (Say checkbox in the datagrid). I need to add new data in File_trnsactions table based on selected in checkbox.

Can anyone give me idea how to proceed in this matter? which is better to use datagrid or datalist.

DataGrid with a checkbox in a template column is a easier solution to design. Datalist is bit light wieght one though a bit more coding is requied its simpler and more flexible(programmble)
