Default problem with connecting asp with ms-access2000

hi
ok i shall try again installing sql server.
but i also need help in connecting asp with ms-access2000.
when i give the connection string mentioning the provider and all other syntax, it is giving me an error stating "cannot find installable ISAM". i dont understand what is this error and what is this ISAM.
Please help me out.

The ISAM is the database driver, so its saying that it can't find a driver for Access 2000.

The Access Jet drivers were removed from the MDAC install from v2.6, you have to install them separately. Take a look at Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 239114 -"ACC2000: The Updated Version of Microsoft Jet 4.0 Is Available in the Download Center"
