   I am getting data from database and storing in a text file in the local client. The client will print from DOS prompt (type filename.txt>prn) to speed up printing and on pre printed bin.

The pre printed bin is like

job size qty layno bdlno operation
05A01 XL 15 5 101 05 --- Its a ticket

Daily i print more than 2000 sheets each sheet contain 36 tickets.
So i am using DOS command to print.

Upto now everything ok. But i want to print barcode + text below specifying text for the barcode. How can i print barcode from DOS prompt. Can anybody help in this concern? I tried many forums but no reply.

Don't understand why you're using DOS. You could find a barcode font and print ticket info directly from a formatted ASP page from your web site. Unless I'm not understanding what you're doing.

  Thanx for the reply. How long it takes to print 1 page from IE and DOS? I have 24 tickets per page. Daily i need to print more than 500 pages of tickets. Calculate how much time it takes if I print from IE (or any windows based)
So i am printing from DOS. Its font is draft and font size is default size. I can print faster.

Thats the reason i am printing from DOS.

Do you have any idea how to print barcode for the same text file from DOS?

The best solution I know of is to print using a dedicated label printer, very fast printing. They have software bundled that can handle printing of barcodes and can easily be linked to web applications.
