Default Excel to Access DB Classic ASP Unique Records

We have an internal application that requires the user to upload an excel file to existing access database daily (replace the ones in the access file based on a unique id column in excel and access). this way the data being uploaded to access will be new (from the excel file). The user should be able to upload the file using a browse button. I have successfully completed the part of adding data to the access db but am not able to find out a way to add only unique entries.

Another way to do this is to delete all the entries in the access database that are in the excel and then add the new ones.

not sure how to proceed. please help.
