Default Speed database retrieval

Hi friends,

I am developing an application which accepts 100s of records per day. How can i increase the data retrieval speed. Ofcourse indexing is one option. I am using MSAccess and ASP.

Even with a small number of records the mdb file size is reaching MBs
How can i compress the database. Coz every day i want to take a backup of the db from the web server(hosting server). Is there any other solution to get backup of DB.

Thanx in advance

Default

You could try MsSql Server. I know that you can run a job that will backup your db on a scheduled basis and it's alot faster.
