Default Passing NT Login Info

I want to pass login information within a link to a document which is on a password protected folder within IIS.

We use a client portal which is asp based. We also have links to PDF documentation. This documentation needs to be secure, so all documentation is inside a secured folder within IIS. When clients in the portal want to view a document, they click on the link which opens the NT login box. They then log in to view the document.

Our asp client portal is also password protected, but at the page level. The login/password combinations are the same for the client portal as for the NT folder.

How do I pass the NT login information so that users don't need to login again to view a document?
