Default Live shipping rates from FEDEX, UPS and USPS

hello, i need help. ive been trying to develop a way to get live shipping rates and im stuck with the xml part. im just so new to that. do you know of a free code, or cheap components (what a cheapskate huh?:-)) available out there?
