Hi,

I'm using Cystal Reports 8.0 and SQL 2000.
The error message I get is : "The request could not be submitted for background processing"
What do you think may cause this problem? I have a stored procedure which returns a dataset successfully, apparently my .rpt file couldn't display the results but I don't know why.
I searched crystal reports' support site but couldn't be able to find anything useful.
By the way, I'm using Crystal Report viewer to view the report also there is a cross-tab in the report.

Hello, Have you solved the problem. I'm receiving this message for the report developed in crystal 9 and while running in crystal enterprise 9 standard, the report fails after 10 minutes with the same message "The request could not be submitted for background processing File ...". Any help would greatly be appreciated.

 I think you trying to summarize the formula fields.
 If you want to get summary of formula fields, you should use
 Running total fields.
 Two days ago, I've the same problem like you.
 Now, I'm using Running Total Field.
  It is OK.

i got same error. but i don't use any summary fields.
the report runs fine suddenly today. not sure waht causes this. any idea why. i need to explain this to the client.
