Default SQL TAGS HIDING eg <BR>

Hi

I have text in a SQL table that contains <BR> and <I> for character return and italic display in my web page. However, when I run the crystal report from a stored procedure the tags which are hidden on my web page appear in the report as if they were part of the sentence.

Does anyone know of a simple way to hide these from Crystal?

Many thanks.
