I have a crystal report that is displaying dates in a dd/mm/yyyy format. These display correctly in the Preview view. However, once I push them out through the crystal report viewer control on the web page, they revert back to mm/dd/yyyy.

Could anyone help me out? Thanks in advance.

I've put a support call in to Business Objects regarding this issue and i can honistely say they are crap, it looks like they only want to support Americanised dates.

1st Try setting all the dates via the custom mode, this should work except for the tree view.


My support call rose around the inconsitency in the data viewed in the tree.

2nd Look at HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\International\shortDate

key to the specific format

or

add RDC component (CRAXDRT.DLL) into a COM+ package and make it run under a User account.

Found another way around the group tree function displaying the incorrect format if you group by dates.

Just go into the "Change Group" on the context menu and click the options tab.

Select the option for "use formula as group name" and use the
ToText ({tbl_XXXXXXXX.SpeciminDate},"dd-MMM-yyyy") or whatever format you wish.

Can't beleive their technical support couldn't give me this solution themselves.

Not starting to be much of a fan regarding Business Objects since they took over crystal.
