Default Deployment

I created crystal report on my PC (development PC). I copied that report to servers wwwroot directory. When I try to run it from server it gives me error. Crystal Report is not installed on the server. What I need to do?

You'll need to build a setup project to transfer the required files from your dev machine to the server.

I can't recall the exact steps (you need to include a bunch MSM files in your setup), but the following links should get you started:

The Wrox book "Professional Crystal Reports for Visual Studio .NET, 2nd Edition" has a whole chapter devoted to deployment / distributing your reports. This book is definitely worth reading, .....

what if I just copy folder with all the CR files and asp.net files to the new server. And copy all the merge module to the new server (one with out CR installed). I just want to move my working folder under inetpub/wwwroot directory to new server. I am not ready to deploy yet. Still testing.

please help
