Default moving a column

Hi,

I have to display results of a tournament in the report. The Tournament can have Rounds ranging from 1 to 5. Each Round's score is displayed in the report and at the end, there is a column called 'Gross Score' which will display total of scores of all the rounds. Can I move the column 'Gross Score' next to the last round that a tournament will have. Currently if the Tournament has 2 rounds, the space for Round 3 - Round 5 is left blank and after that the Gross Score column shows up.

Thanks
Gauri

Hi gouri,
for the tournaments which are left black, select the condition supress black section under format section.
u can write a formula sum(tab.fld,tabgrpflp)ie., sum of the fld grouped by whole 1st group above tournaments if u have any or if its a grand total then just sum (tab.fld)
i don't think this can help as it will repeat for each tournament and i don't find any solution immediate to supress the duplicates. we cannot use prev or next condition for formula flds

Hi Kavitha,

Can we change the title of the column and the data provided to it in the formula itself? If not then I think I should insert all the fields by coding. Depending upon the numebr of rounds, I will insert fields in the report and provide data to the same.

The Gross Score field that represents sum of all the rounds is present in the table. So I just have to display it in the report. Can I somehow change the position of that column after suppressing the necessary fields?

Sure! Here it goes. My report looks like as follows:

           Round1 Round2 Round3 Round4 Round 5 Total
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
PlayerName|

Suppose the player has scores for Round1, Round2, Round 3. So I will suppress Round-4 and Round - 5 fields and display Total of Round1,Round2 and Round 3 in the column 'Total'. Now, As the 2 fields Round-4 and Round -5 are suppressed, blank space is displayed and then comes the 'Total' column. So it looks like this:

           Round1 Round2 Round3 Total
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
PlayerName|

Can I somehow move the 'Total' column immediately near Round3 OR Can I overwrite the title of column 'Round 4' As 'Total' (and the data too) so that it will look like this:

           Round1 Round2 Round3 Total
---------------------------------------------------
PlayerName|

i don't think thats possible.
u have work around.
place total fld next to round 3 overlaying round 4 and write a formula to supress count(round) >3
even for the total that u placed next to round 5 write a formula near supress
count(round) <> 5
so that this count will not be repeated again

hi Kavitha,

It worked!! After overlaying the indv round columns by Gross Score, the report can now display the Total just besidethe last round. Thanks a lot!!!
